This work acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional owners of the lands we live and work on. We pay our respects to elders past and present with recognition that sovereignty was never ceded. Indigenous knowledge systems emphasise the importance of interconnection and reciprocal stewardship with the natural world - a standard which should be re-centralized in this transition to a more thoughtful approach in healthcare resource utilization, waste management and environmental consciousness.
